Moisture-proof and Sealed LED Lighting Fixtures New Release of Moisture-proof and Sealed LED Floodlights (LCIA Series) Seiwa Electric Co., Ltd. is selling moisture-proof and sealed LED lighting fixtures equivalent to mercury lamps (400W, 250W) that can be used in moisture-proof and waterproof environments both indoors and outdoors, including moisture-proof and sealed LED floodlights (LCIA Series). The main body of the fixtures uses aluminum die-casting with excellent heat dissipation properties, achieving maintenance-free operation with a lifespan of 60,000 hours for the LED modules through effective heat dissipation measures, while also ensuring high robustness and weather resistance. In comparison to our conventional sealed mercury lamps (with ballast), we have achieved a weight reduction of 36% for LED lighting fixtures and 39% for LED floodlights. Additionally, we have realized an 80% reduction in power consumption (equivalent to a 400W mercury lamp), and with glare reduction and higher color rendering compared to mercury lamps, we contribute to improving the working environment. We are pleased to announce the addition of the explosion-proof LED lighting fixtures "LZLA Series," which can be used in explosive hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2, equivalent to incandescent lamps (100W, 200W) and high-output FHF32W (circular and compact fluorescent lamps). Orders will begin on May 15. The main body of the fixture utilizes aluminum die-casting, which excels in heat dissipation and lightweight design. By implementing effective heat dissipation measures, the operating temperature range has been increased to -20°C to +50°C (compared to our conventional LED products which are -20°C to +40°C), enhancing resistance to high-temperature environments. Additionally, it achieves a maintenance-free LED module lifespan of 60,000 hours while also possessing high durability and weather resistance.

The sealed emergency LED lighting fixtures (VCMA series) comply with protection rating IP55 and can be installed in indoor environments where dust is generated or in outdoor environments without a roof. Utilizing our unique optical design technology, we ensure efficient brightness in both normal and emergency situations through light distribution control. Particularly during emergency lighting, the installation spacing can be wider than traditional light sources (fluorescent lamps), allowing for a reduction in the number of units installed and lowering initial costs. The straight tube LED lamp, which serves as the light source during normal operation, is housed in a highly sealed lamp protection cover, making it resistant to dirt and corrosion, and protecting the lamp from external impacts. Since a straight tube LED lamp is used, lamp replacement is possible. During a power outage, the emergency light source is consolidated at the end of the fixture and lights up using a built-in battery. When installed in the same area as the sealed LED fixtures (LCMA series), the design can be unified. Additionally, a lamp monitor (green) lights up to indicate the charging status of the emergency light at a glance. If the green lamp is lit during normal operation, it indicates normal function; if the lamp monitor is off, it is time to replace the rechargeable battery due to its lifespan. The estimated lifespan of the rechargeable battery is 4 to 6 years. Battery replacement can be easily and quickly performed while the fixture is installed.

Currently, emergency lighting fixtures specified by the Building Standards Act are limited to "incandescent lamps" and "fluorescent lamps," and the use of LEDs as emergency light sources has not been permitted. Therefore, while there have been LED emergency lighting fixtures that received certification based on the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's certification system and passed the self-assessment of emergency lighting fixtures by the Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association, they could not be used in explosion-proof areas where there is a risk of explosion or fire. In response to the many voices wishing for the use of LED as an emergency light source even in explosion-proof areas, we have developed explosion-proof emergency LED lighting fixtures that have passed type testing from the Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association, received certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and display the JIL mark from the Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association, making us the first in the domestic industry to do so. Orders will begin on September 15, 2016. Since the JIL mark is affixed to the product, the building confirmation process can continue smoothly as before.
